Donation CheckScan
Features & Functions
Image archive and research
Donation CheckScan is a check payment processing software system that creates an on-line image-based archive and research tool with the power to respond quickly and accurately to customer inquiries. The fronts and backs of all scanned checks and remittance documents are available for highspeed research, viewing and printing. The volume of images maintained online is limited only by hardware capacity.
End-to-end processing
Donation CheckScan starts with capturing front and back images of checks. Once captured, transaction amounts and other check information can be keyed from image, stored in an on-line archive, extracted to update donor accounts and optionally prepared for image deposit to the bank(s) of your choice.
Automated tracking of donor payments
Donation CheckScan provides a number of ways to link a donor name with the donor's account number encoded on a check. After this link is made once, the system creates an output file and report of donor names and amounts that is automatically generated as each check capture run is made. This file/report can then be used to update donor records automatically.
Optional image bank deposit
With this optional module, organizations can make remote deposits to the bank of their choice eliminating physical trips. Captured checks are formatted in digital Check 21 X9, a standard format any bank can accept.
Architecture and device independent
Offering stability, ease of use and flexibility, Donation CheckScan is based on an N-tier open architecture running on Windows .NET technology. This check processing system is designed to adapt to any business environment. Donation CheckScan is sorter, encoder and scanner independent and interfaced to more than 40 types of capture devices with a large range of speeds and capabilities. Donation CheckScan's payment processing software supports products from leading name companies including: AIM, Buik, Canon, CTS, Digital Check, Fujitsu, Kleindienst, NCR, Opex, Panini, Seac and Unisys.
Recognition technologies
Donation CheckScan incorporates, as an option, recognition technologies including: magnetic ink character recognition (MICR) and courtesy amount recognition and legal amount recognition (CAR/LAR). These technologies improve speed and accuracy in the capture process and result in major time savings in data entry/processing, error correction and balancing routines.
Key-from-image
Donation CheckScan's highspeed key-from-image feature greatly enhances operator efficiency and reduces costs.
CD/DVD burning
With its Archive View software, Donation CheckScan provides the ability to burn images and data together to CDs or DVDs for backups, offsite distribution and standalone archive.
Flexibility and scalability
This check processing software system is modular in design and highly scalable. Donation CheckScan can be deployed as a single station and scanner system for small organizations or scaled up to our high-volume, multi-location, multi-user remittance/lockbox system. To support traditional retail remittance and lockbox for checks only, checks with payment stubs or coupons and multiple transaction documents. It also offers the sophistication demanded for wholesale remittance and lockbox operations supporting large payment documents including full page list items, tax forms, multi-page documents and other specialized large forms.
